Your task is to provide a summary of the key aspects of the early developmental milestones. You are to look at 6 age groups Birth - 12 months I-2 years 2-3 years 3-4 years 4-5 years 5-6 years. For each level describe 6 key aspects of development across the domains and illustrate with at least 1 photo per age group. The creative aspect is for you to design and deliver this assignment according to your creative strengths so as a power point, a scrap book, a film, a montage, a poster, a kaleidoscope etc.
Using the checklist
- It is suggested that you begin by focussing on items in the age range into which the child fits. For a child of three and a half, for example, start in the three to five year age range. Be mindful that items in the age range below or above might also be scored.
- Refresh your memory before the visit by reading through the relevant overview and division of the checklist.
- If you do not observe a behavior, leave the box beside the item blank.
