- Explain why it happened (causes), i.e. the geological explanations of plate tectonics
- What consequences supplied/occurred for people, animals and nature, earth surface appearance, etc.
- What must one do to prevent/reduce the impact in the future?
- Analysis of society's vulnerability to natural disasters

There are also books and Encyclopedias at the library that can be useful for the area you choose on. You can also take a look in the map books for tips on earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
