--Texas House Bill 3994--
On January 1, 2016, Texas House Bill went into effect in Texas. The bill deals with abortion rights for women. The law assumes all women seeking abortions are minors until they prove otherwise, and places the burden of proof on the physician performing the abortion to request a proof of identity and age. This bill is an addition to the current abortion bill signed in 2011 and makes it even tougher to get and abortion in Texas.
