Blog Assignment: Jobs/Roles in the ECE Community: National/Federal Level
In Week 2, your Blog Assignment took you to local and state early childhood organizations, agencies, and communities of practice. This week, you will explore national organizations and federal agencies. Remember, these explorations are designed to help you imagine yourself in a variety of jobs that foster the well-being of children, families, and the early childhood field. Use them to inspire your thinking not only about places you might like to work but also roles you might like to take on in the field, now and in the future.
Be sure to take time to read the missions of each organization and agency, immerse yourself in the work that they do, and look for employment opportunities that are currently available and/or the kinds of skills and experience workers in each need to be viable contributors. Choose at least three to share with your colleagues in the following ways:
Post by Saturday:
At least three national/federal organizations or communities of practice that appealed to you and why you chose them
Job opportunities (currently available or not) that interest you
Skills and experience you would need to competently fulfill each of these roles
