You will choose a topic (violence in school). You will also conduct research for a cause and effect essay. This assignment has 3 parts:
1.Conduct a library search to gather at least two (2) relevant sources
2.Paraphrase and quote from two (2) sources that provide information related to your topic and thesis
3.Use in-text citations to document quoted and paraphrased material from your sources
• Choose a passage (1-2) sentences from the first source that you would like to quote in your cause-effect essay. Write your own sentence that contains this quotation. Be sure to introduce the quote with a signal phrase and to provide an in-text citation for the quote.
• Write a second sentence that contains a paraphrase of information from your first source that you would like to use in your cause-effect essay. To write a paraphrase, put the information from the source into your own wording. Be sure to provide an in-text citation for the paraphrased information.
• Repeat the same two steps above for your second source.
4.Prepare an APA Reference list for your two sources.
