What are the requirements of a good speech introduction?  Evaluate the following complete introduction to a classroom speech in light of those requirements.  Be specific in your answer.

Remember the opening scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark?  Indiana Jones enters an ancient cave, hidden deep within the jungle.  After facing deadly traps or all kinds and spiders as big as your fist, he emerges from the cave with a solid gold idol of a human head.

Last year a golden head similar to that one was actually found in South America.  Of course, there were no traps, no spiders, and certainly no Indian Jones.  But to its discoverers, this find was more exciting than any movie because this gold heard was no film prop.  It was the genuine article.

This object of pure gold was only one of many treasures found during last year's archaeological excavation of an ancient tomb of the long-vanished Moche civilization of ancient Peru.  Today, based on my research, I would like to tell you what is known about the history of the Moche civilization.  Then I want to explain how recent excavations have made the Moche a hot topic for today's anthropologists.

Question 2: 1page maximum
