Assignment
You must write a 5-7 page research paper on any pre-approved topic related to theatre. You may not start writing this paper until I have officially approved your topic and given you some feedback.
Your research paper should answer a question. For example, if you're interested in plays written by Edward Albee, your question might be "How did Albee's personal life influence his writing?" or "What are the trademark elements of an Edward Albee play?" Be specific - not general.
The paper should be typed, double-spaced, with standard margins (no more than 1-inch on each side), in a standard font (e.g. 12 pt. Times New Roman or 11 pt. Arial), with page numbers.
Use a variety of sources for your research - no fewer than 3 sources - but DO NOT USE WIKIPEDIA AS A SOURCE. Cite all sources using MLA format, and include a Works Cited page at the end of your paper. (The Works Cited page does not count towards your 5-7 pages.) Failure to properly cite a source in your paper could be considered plagiarism.
If you include images, graphics, or tables in your research paper, please put them in an appendix immediately before your Works Cited page. (The appendix does not count towards your 5-7 pages.)
