Question: Paradise Lost: Milton portrays Satan as a very relatable character and God as a tyrant. Why might he have done this? There are several theories out there. What is your opinion? You must conduct research to look into the theories about why Milton made Satan a sympathetic character and use that research to support your argument. Look into Milton's political views-his support of the Parliamentarians during the English Civil War, his pamphlet calling for the execution of bad monarchs. Might they have any correlation to Paradise Lost? If so, what?
