You have discovered a new organism that has a mutant

You have discovered a new organism that has a mutant phosphofructosekinase-2/fructose 2,6-bisphosphatase-2. The mutant enzyme has a Km of 1 ?M for fructose 6-phosphate while the wild type enzyme has a Km of 10 ?M, the Km for F2,6P is unchanged. What would you predict the flux of glucose through glycolysis and gluconeogenesis is in the mutant bacterium compared to the wild type, is it likely to be increased or decreased? Explain your answer, showing the important molecules and enzymes (not all in the pathway just the ones that matter). Assume the concentration of F-6-P is typically equal to or less than the Km of the wild type enzyme.
