Term Paper
This is a 2-part assignment:
1. Select a case from the case list on Blackboard and find a news story on it
OR
Select a personal experience involving a law-enforcement or legal situation.
2. Use two concepts from the concept list on Blackboard to write a paper on the case or experience:
a. Summarize the story IN YOUR OWN WORDS in one paragraph;
b. Analyze the story in 1-2 paragraphs.
You can address the following questions: Why did it happen? How did the parties involved feel? What were they thinking?
Could the incident have been prevented? What could have been done to improve the well-being of the parties involved?'
The case list and the concept list are revised periodically.
Format
1. The write-up should be about 300-400 words one page.
2. It must be typed andsingle-spaced.
3. The two concepts used must be identified by boldfacing/underlining/italicizing.
4. You must include the web link to the case or a hard copy of the story in the assignment.
5. No cover page is needed. Put your name on the top portion of the paper.
