TASK-
You are required to identify a controversial legal issue. Evaluate the current laws relating to your chosen issue by analysing legal concepts and stakeholder perspectives, and justifying recommendations to effectively resolve the issue.
This assignment asks you to investigate and evaluate an area of law. You may choose a topic already covered in the course, for which you would like to conduct a more thorough investigation, or you may choose an entirely new topic.
You are to demonstrate your ability to research a topic of law from an extensive range of legal sources and you will be assessed on your ability to communicate your findings using accepted legal conventions.
Step by step process:
- Negotiate a topic with your teacher and frame an inquiry question
- Logically plan your investigation and research
- Frame an hypothesis and working questions to guide your research
- Locate information from a variety of sources and text types. DO NOT rely solely on the interned
- Keep evidence of the research process used to gather evidence to support your hypothesis
- Write a report of appropriate length, including correct legal terminology and conventions and containing extensive in-text referencing
