Hurricane Harvey is an active tropical cyclone that is causing unprecedented and catastrophic flooding in southeastern Texas and expected to move through central Louisiana. Tropical Storm Harvey has been battering communities with periods of intense rainfall, flooding streets, and homes, forcing thousands of people into shelters and killing some. This storm is considered "off the charts" by many measures.
