Instructions:
Review the two scenarios below and choose ONE on which to write a position paper:
1. As the superintendent of the Applegate School District, your school district is experiencing a continued decrease in school funding and any future cuts will result in laying off staff, which will impact instruction. In the assignment, you are asked to write a position paper to your local congress representative summarizing an argument opposing the granting of public school funds from your district going to support a charter school, which is being proposed to open in your district. Where applicable, reference case law and current legislation from your state to support your argument.
