Written as a presentation or talk (or podcast transcript) to psychology professionals in anticipation of them conducting a research project involving children.
In other words, presented more as a narrative than as a formal research paper.
Topic of the study: The effect on children of an absent parent following divorce.
The topic does not have to be developed in the paper. It only has to be introduced. The point of the paper is a review of how such a study is to be conducted.
The paper should focus on two issues:
1) That in conforming to ethical practices, the professionals will ensure that research protocols involving children conform to ethical and scientific standards for such research
2) That the professionals will conduct the study in accord with the approved protocol
Support and citations should come from work describing ethics regarding using children in research studies.
The class is a psychology class, Masters level, regarding gender development in children and adolescents
