Writing Assessment - Free Choice, Get to Know You
For the first writing assignment that you turn into me, you have free choice about what you write. It can take any form that you wish (poem, letter, narrative, fanfiction, manifesto etc.), but It must be at least 250 words (about a page, double spaced, MLA format) and should give me insights about who you are.
Here are some ideas to get you going -
Write a letter in which you introduce yourself to Ms. Chole. Tell her your hobbies, favorite school subjects, books, movies, what you like to do in your free time. You can also tell her what you need from her in order to succeed this year!
Write a narrative in which you describe a significant moment in your life. Include sensory details so that Ms. Chole can feel like she is there alongside you.
Write a review of the most recent movie that you saw or book that you read. Explain why the work was excellent or needed improvements and what you would do differently if you were the creator!
