Please read the "Welcome to Holland" written in 1987 by Emily Perl Kingsley. You can find her writing by Googling Welcome to Holland and then look at the "images".
After you have read the piece, please reflect on some of your experiences as an educator in working with parents, friends or family that are still working to adjust to "being in Holland". Do not use names of students or parents. Please upload your reflections as a video recording to this page.
Reflect: How did you or could/would you help them adjust to Holland? What was/is/do you think will be the most difficult part for parents about being in Holland? Do you think that others in the child's educational team/school understand that parents are adjusting? How do/will you know?
