Problem
You are leading a the admin team for a new CRM implementation and have been trying to figure out how to set up the users in the new system. You have been given some direction from the key stakeholders of the project and you are ready to get started.
The information that was provided to you is divided into 2 categories:
• Business Requirements
• Security/Data Access
Business Requirements
• Sales Organization need to be aware of information coming into the Service Desk
• Sales Organization must be divided into groups based on a geographic region
• Sales Executives want to see data based on salesperson, region, or customer.
Security/Data Access
• Salespeople should not see customer information from any other region
• Regional managers can see all data
• Executives can see all data
Based on these criteria you should create an MS Word document with the following sections:
• An overview of the situation based on this brief explanation
• A list of questions (minimum 4) you would ask to get clarification of the requirements
o Write the question and to whom it would be directed
o Write down why you are asking the question (i.e. what would it impact or what would it change)
o Write down the answer you received when you asked this question (you get to pick how it was answered)
• Based on the information provided and the response to your questions above explain how you would implement in Salesforce:
o Roles
o Profiles
• Explain what you think of the requirements in CRM benefit terms (at least 2 benefits). What is the business going to achieve and what may be an issue (at least 2 issues).
