2. Write the equations for photosynthesis and cellular respiration. What do you notice about the relationship between these two chemical reactions?
3. From the Dr. Fink video on cellular respiration: a) To what common items does he compare the high-energy molecules of glucose (sugar) and ATP? And b) what is the relationship of the hydrogen atoms in this process with regard to our week 1 discussion on buffers, pH, and homeostasis?
4. We can get energy from carbs, proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids. Why are carbohydrates, and glucose in particular, our cells preferred source for energy?
