Paper Assignment
Length: 5 to 6 pages.
Topics

o Risk-taking behavior
o Academic achievement (success and/or challenges)
o Post-traumatic stress disorder
o Healthy intimate relationships
o Group affiliations (e.g., religious, political, friendships, special interests)
o Pain management
o Occupational success and/or challenges
o Stereotypes (e.g., gender, racial, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status)
To Prepare:
o Review the Project Overview in this Learning Resources and the Final Project Rubric in the Course Information area. Consider the requirements of the Final Project Assignment.
o Review the Project Topics in this Learning Resources and choose one of the topics provided. If you wish to propose a topic different from what is on the list, please email your instructor by Week 5 to request approval to use that topic for your Final Project.
o Select two psychological theories and consider how they relate to the topic you chose.
Task
Write a 5 to 6 pages paper (apart from the title page and references) that references at least four scholarly articles and includes at least two unique articles for each theory you selected. Your final project should include the following:
1) A description of both theories you selected and why you think they are appropriate for the topic you chose from the list or that was pre-approved by your Instructor by the end of Week 5
2) A comparison of the theories related to the topic you chose
3) An argument as to which theory provides a better understanding of the topic
4) An explanation of how psychological research grounded in these two theories helped you better understand the characteristics of the topic
Format your assignment according to the give formatting requirements:
1. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
