Assignment Task: Need a response to this answer.
I believe that this question goes back to the "Nature vs. Nurture" debate. The genetic predisposition of someone cannot fully make up their personality, but it can affect it. One's environment, life, and interactions determine and molds their personality and traits. If my family were to have depression linked to low dopamine or endorphin levels, then I would most likely inherit that and also have depression. Yet, if I were raised in a home that actively provided for me mentally and physically while taking precautions at an early age to prevent the depression, then I possibly would not obtain it. I believe that while genetics can impact your personality, it is not the main dictator.
