Artist Assignment
You will select a late 19c or 20c or 21c artist
Objective:
• To understand the connection between artists! You will research your artist's works and find who or what influenced your artist and how. (a minimum of 3)
• Then you will find out what artists were influenced by your artist (and how). (a minimum of 3)
• Consider - Style, Subject, Medium
Option 1 - Write a paper that that discusses the connections or influences.
• MLA Works cited with 3-4 sources that uses at least 1 book other than your textbook. You may use the Internet to get started, you WILL find answers. To find relationships, research books, internet (use - .edu, .org, and LRC databases) and your EYES 8 look and apply what you have learned. Do not use Wikipedia!
Include an MLA Works Cited on a separate page.
• 12 pt font
• 3-4 pages
Option 2 - (for the fearful) Create a replica of one of your artists works of art representing Art From their their Mature style
• Be creative but neat!
• All art projects will be presented to the faculty in class and you will be able to explain why you chose to make your work of art and how the influences are represented.
