Assignment task: I need to respond to this individual and have no idea what to write regarding this portion of their introduction. I also have not had the privilege of reading any of Jane Austen's works, but look forward to reading them. I have to elaborate my response and have no clue how to proceed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The more I learn about Jane Austen (which is still admittedly not much), the more I look forward to taking this course. At the risk of sounding ignorant, I never had much interest in books like Pride and Prejudice, since they really seemed geared more towards a female audience. As I hear more about their potential depth, however, I am excited to see what Austen has to say that would be relevant to my life. I'm a bit of a slow reader, but I do tend to soak words in like a sponge; I expect this class to be both challenging and rewarding.
