Problem
1) Write a formal research essay choosing one of the art movements and one of the topics provided from the lists below.
2) The paper should state and argue a thesis that connects the art movement with your focused topic. For example, your paper will describe how Surrealism discussed sexuality in their art, or, your paper will describe how Realism was a political movement, etc.
3) A short paragraph describing your topic selection and the thesis you wish to present in your paper is due no later than 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Sunday of Unit 7.
a) Note: Prudent students will select their topic early and begin some preliminary reading throughout the term.
4) The paper should contain as many illustrations as are required to support the argument.
5) The total length of the paper (not including the title page or reference pages) should be 2000 words (+/- 200 words).
