Assignment:
Write a 2 page, double-spaced essay (no more and no less) using 12 point Times New Roman font discussing an experience you have had with writing.
It might be an experience you had learning to write, writing for an assignment, writing for fun, and so on. You are not limited to positive experiences, though it is probably much easier to complete this assignment if you focus on positive experiences in writing.
Audience: You must write to an audience of your peers, that is, college students who range in age from approximately 17 to 90.
Evidence: You must write about at least one experience in writing, but you are not limited to only one so long as you successfully connect how the two experiences are connected. Please limit yourself to only two experiences.
Evaluation Standards: Your paper will be judged by whether or not you write about one or two experiences in writing and how they have influenced you today as a college student.
Additionally, Paper must be/have:
•Included an introduction.
•Included a thesis statement or have a controlling idea.
•Included a conclusion.
•Included body paragraphs.
•You have written to an audience of your peers.
•Used Standard American English.
•Not used any profanity.
•Not discussed anything offensive.
•Used varied sentence structure.
