Field Trip and Discussion Go to your local drugstore, pharmacy, supermarket, or anywhere that sells feminine products. Survey the shelf for vaginal creams. Report on all the products you find at one store.
What do they cost? How clear are the instructions? Will women know when to use them? Write down any other questions that occur to you. Vaginal creams for yeast infections were among the first prescriptions to go over the counter and have been available for several years. Has this benefited women? Explain why or why not.

B. How would consideration of the following shoppers affect your position on "Should more or fewer products be available to women over the counter?"
a. Shoppers with low literacy
b. Shoppers who are very young teens, for example, 12- and 13-year-olds
