Problem: The Childbearing Family Guidelines for Care Planning in L/D, PP, NBN Objective: There are several purposes of this care planning assignment. One is to provide an opportunity to advance the student's skill of documenting an assessment using "charting by exception." The second is to further expand the student's ability to develop a problem list, and additionally, to appropriately prioritize that problem list. Lastly, this activity is designed to further enhance the student's skill of concept mapping. 1. Complete a head-to-toe assessment on your antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, or newborn client. Identify abnormal physical and/or psychosocial findings (this may include parts of the history), addressing why this is an abnormal finding for this client.
