Write an objective a class activity and assessment strategy

Assignment: Blooms Taxonomy

Imagine yourself walking into your class (workshop or presentation) of adult learners on the first day. What should you have done to prepare for this day? What will you do to welcome your learners and "break the ice"? What activities do you think will work to introduce your learners to the course content? What activities do you think will work well with them after that first day? Please use your text readings for this unit to support your ideas and activities.

Next, consider Bloom's Taxonomy of Educational Objectives. There are myriad resources about it on the Internet. There has been a revision of Bloom's Taxonomy in recent years, but we will use the following levels from highest to lowest for the purpose of this discussion:

1) Evaluation.
2) Synthesis.
3) Analysis.
4) Application.
5) Comprehension.
6) Knowledge.

Finally, write an objective, a class activity, and an assessment strategy for each level of the taxonomy. You do not have to teach them all, just show that you understand that there are multiple levels and ways in which to present information. For example, you may use a lecture method with a PowerPoint presentation (knowledge activity) to define important terms (knowledge objective) and then give them a short matching quiz in which they match terms and definitions (knowledge assessment).

Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:

(1) The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.

(2) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.

(3) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
