Topic 1:
MTV's "Rock the Vote" campaign has evolved to the campaign described in the reading, titled "Elect This," designed to bring young voters to the polls in 2017. Write an essay that suggests what the organizations and the media can and should do to get young people to the polls in 2018. (NOTE: The midterm elections happen in 2018, and important races will help to decide the fate of our democracy.)
Topic 2:
The article "Encouraging Millennials to Vote on Issues that Unite Them" lists many issues that the authors believe millennials are concerned with. Choose one of the issues mentioned by the authors, and discuss why you believe this to be a common concern. Also, determine an issue that is NOT mentioned and discuss why you think politicians should address this issue as a way to inspire young people to vote.
