Assignment
Write an essay in which you evaluate efforts to regulate hate speech. To evaluate is to judge the quality or value of something. There are many different criteria by which one may evaluate something: Is it appropriate or inappropriate? Effective or ineffective? Right or wrong? Good or bad? You will need to choose and specify your criteria in the claim (thesis) of your argument. In this essay, you are not arguing for or against any particular course of action; in other words, "should" or "should not" is off topic for Essay #3.
Essay Requirements:
-4-6 pages, plus a Works Cited page
-adherence to MLA format and documentation guidelines
-minimum 2 credible sources
-at least one complete counterargument.
