Essay Problem: Constitution
Write an essay detailing the process and ideas that went into the making of the Constitution. What Enlightenment thinkers provided inspiration? Why were the Articles thrown out in favor of a new government? Why did the Constitution succeed where the Articles failed? What factions formed in the process of getting the Constitution ratified and why did they form? What were the debates surrounding the new document? What were the compromises?
