Understanding Genres: The Role of Genres in Your Life
You will develop a DESCRIPTIVE ESSAY in which you share with your audience the genres you use on a regular basis, why and how you use those specific genres, and how your choice of genres reflects who you are. You will provide evidence from your own experiences and observations. Final submission:All drafts (-10 points per item if missing) and a process memo (-30 points if missing). Do not write more than 5 pages or under 4 pages. Remember a descriptive essay's thesis statement should say "what will be described and often gives an overall impression of it or tells how the writer will approach the subject" (Evergreen 222).
