Write an argumentative essay discussing the following: Dickinson's work was not widely published in her lifetime, and was not widely studied until the 20th century. However, her style and tone is much more modern than other poets of her time. Her subject matter was varied, her writing "voice" changing from poem to poem. I need to choose three of her poems to analyze them and state why I choose them and why I feel they are the best representation of her poetic voice. Paper must be sourced and I need to use at least two of the Perspective works with Works Cited. I need to use the Formalist or Reader-Response method to analyze.
