1. Write an algorithm for driving from where you live to the nearest airport that has regularly scheduled flights.
2. Write an algorithm for making a peanut butter and jam sandwich. The instructions must be very simple and exact because the person making the sandwich has no knowledge of food preparation and takes every word literally.
3. Use the following data set to test the payroll algorithm presented on page 40. Follow each step of the algorithm just as it is written, as if you were a computer. Then check your results by hand to be sure that the algorithm is correct.
