Pick a public liberal arts university (ex: UNC Chapel Hill) and write about how it deals with its history of slavery and/or race? As a member of the campus community how visible do you find a racialized history to be at that school? Look at the campus, the buildings, and the university websites and explain the racial identity of the school in black, white, and beyond.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Your paper will be (roughly) 750 words. Use specific examples to make your arguments strong but do not quote any one citation at great length (a sentence or two will do for most quotations.) When quoting or paraphrasing material you must cite the page numbers (or the url for web sources) of the material you use. You may use any citation style that you are familiar with, but make sure to be consistent. If you do not have a preferred citation method I would recommend APA.
