Assignment: Strategic Plan
Reminder: If you have questions, you may choose to discuss your selected strategic plan issue with your Instructor prior to submitting the required Assessments for this Competency.
Section A: Summary of the Issue
Write a 2 to 3 pages summary of the strategic plan issue. Include the following in your summary:
a. The strategic plan issue and how the issue's need is evident in the group or organization
b. The mission, vision, and values of the group or organization
c. Background, including:
i. Data from historical analysis and forecasting to support the need for the plan
ii. Evidence from the literature to support the need for the plan
iii. Previous attempts by various individuals and groups to address this issue
iv. Stakeholders that should be included in the strategic planning process
Section B: SWOT Analysis
Write a 2 to 3 pages summary that conveys the results of your SWOT analysis. Include:
a. Two organizational strengths
b. Two organizational weaknesses
c. Two market opportunities
d. Two environmental threats
e. An explanation of whether the organizational threats and/or weaknesses may also pose opportunities
Format your assignment according to the give formatting requirements:
a. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
b. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
c. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
