Reflection journal entries should be no more than 3 pages in length if they are written, or 5 minutes in length if they are produced in another form, if you have questions about length with respect to another art form, please contact the instructor. Reflection journal entries should be handed in prior to the start of the class. Electronic submissions through blackboard are preferred, however, if the reflection is a physical form, it should be handed in right at the beginning of the class. Each reflection journal entry should use the theory and concepts for the class that is about to commence. Late submissions for reflection journals will not be accepted
My prof said "
Look at the readings for the week that is coming up, so if you do a reflection journal response for the week after reading week, please use the readings for week 7. Then, after you have done the readings, pick 1 concept from those readings, there are 3 readings to pick from - one about hip hop, one about Beyonce and one about Riot Grrls. Once you pick a concept from one of those readings, then what you need to do is connect it somehow to an element of popular culture or something in your daily life. That is all. Here you have tried to write a lot, but it has not satisfied the requirements of the assignment so as to pass. So, in short, for the next response:
1. Pick a concept from the readings from class that are posted on blackboard
2. Write a summary of that concept so that I know you know about that concept from the readings.
3. Connect that concept to something from your daily life or a piece of popular culture.
4. Include a works cited page, that can have just the 1 one reading that you used from the course. "
