Write a thematic essay about The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne, and I chose to write about redemption. But there are just too many different takes on the question of "discussion"; do I detail how redemption is or isn't acheived by certain characters, then explain why, or say further that simply accepting punishment isn't enough, and defend my viewpoint? Can anybody who has already read the book help me start my essay?
