Tasks:
• Read the Galapagos Islands, Costa Rica, and Tanzania national case studies of ecotourism.
• Write a synthesis of each national case study of ecotourism, compare and contrast issues and successful practices associated with ecotourism implementation in the regions represented in the case studies.
For example, you can focus on the history of ecotourism, current trends of ecotourism, role of NGOs and government in ecotourism development, ecotourism's conservation efforts and strategies, positive and negative impacts of ecotourism on host communities, political conflicts, community-based development models, etc. The case study synthesis CANNOT be based on information provided in country "scorecard" which appears at the end of each case study
