Essay Assignment
Length: 1000 word essay format.
Write a short opinion paper arguing for or against the possibility of "Strong AI (Artificial Intelligence)" i.e., answer the question "Is it possible to ever build a machine that 'Thinks'"?. You should draw primarily from the Turing and Searle papers, but you may also include any other sources that you deem appropriate. Of course, you should attempt to justify your reasoning and cite all relevant sources. Specifically, be sure to elaborate upon any agreements/disagreements you may have with Turing's and Searle's "objections".
