In Unit 2 you will write a research report, a proposal, an article summary, and prepare survey and interview questions. This unit is intended to be a "trial run" for the big, final project- that is, you will be doing "mini" versions of what you will be doing later. While it is better to choose the same project for both Units 2 and 3, you are not required to do so. Additionally, you need separate, individually completed documents each, but can work with partners on the same topic. Due sunday at midnight (topic choice).
1. An Article Summary. THIS IS MEANT TO BE BRIEF, no more than 1/2 page single spaced. We'll discuss summaries in class or refer to class google drive folder. This is a very transferable skill and quite important, my friends. DUE Sunday at Midnight week 4.
2. A Research Report. There's an example starting on page 550 of a full research report. This is DUE Week 5. I've decided, rather than having you do a full one, that you:
a. List any questions you have after reading this section of the text
b. List 3 sources you've found that you would/could use for Unit 3, with 2-3 sentence summaries of each. I just want to be sure you are on the right track.
c. Conclusions after the research: What does this look like? I require at
least 1 full paragraph for this element.
3. A Proposal. THIS IS MEANT TO BE BRIEF, no more than 1.5 pages. DUE week 7
