Feel free to pick a US city or any other from around the world. Make sure you can find detailed data on its population growth, geographic characteristics, spatial change over time, and so on.
Step 2
Write an essay fully answering following questions in 500 words.
Write a two-page research paper on the implications of changes in the patterns of growth on society and the daily interactions of people in the city you chose.
Make sure you explain the model (or combination of models) of urban growth/process of urbanization (concentric zone model, sector model, and so on), the types of people living in different areas of the city, and whether there is any urban renewal.
In your conclusion, tell what your analysis of population growth in your chosen urban area yielded. Did you find what you expected? Why or why not?
