Research Project Particulars
You will produce a research project that consists of the following activities:
1. Identify stories that exist in the data provided. A "story" is an analysis of what the data shows rather than just what the data says. Said another way, how might you interpret the data? Or what decisions might you recommend people make based on what the data shows? Anyone can read the percentages for herself, but what can those statistics MEAN for businesses?
2. Create two visuals for your analysis. You MUST make these from scratch. You must CREATE THEM. Use what you learned.
3. Write a four page single-spaced short report to the group identified in the scenario. Present the "stories"/analyses with visuals in the report. Include a bibliography for the data source that I provided and for the two additional reputable sources from which you included information. Include a title page. (See below for more details.)
SCENARIO -
Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce has asked you to write a report to business owners in the Thibodaux area.
