Write a report that critically analyses the example site

Individual Assignment 1 & 2: Critically analyse a web site and develop a new static prototype
1. Write a report that critically analyses the example site available through the assessment section on Blackboard, makes recommendations concerning the redevelopment of this site, and outlines the development that you will carry out. The report should be approx 2000 words and should not exceed 2500 words. This part is worth 20% of the overall module mark. Deadline is Friday 11th November
2. Develop a web site that you consider represents an effective new prototype for the sample website, implementing some of your recommendations as outlined above. This part is worth 25% of the overall module. Presentation of your prototype will take place 12th December.
This Individual Assignments 1 & 2 in Semester 1 represent 45% of the mark for the module. Please note that the example site is a live site and is subject to changes during the course of the semester You are not expected to contact the webmaster or web host as part of your research.
Guidance on assignment requirements is given on the feedback sheet (see overleaf). Guidance on Report writing is available in a separate document in this DWD section of the VLE. Your completed web site will in general be based upon recommendations discussed within
your report, although it won't be limited to these recommendations. You are required to demonstrate the site on the morning of the session 12th December to Dr. David Kreps. Please note that it is essential that you test your site on University equipment prior to the demo: many previous demos have failed owing to differences in browsers, screen resolutions, operating systems and paths.
CRN30479 Dynamic Web Development
Any work (or parts of work) submitted that is not original must be clearly attributed to its source. This does not apply to images taken from the original site. It is recommended that you adopt an evolutionary approach to creating both your report and prototype in order to guarantee that you have something ready on the hand in dates. • Late submission will incur penalties.
N.B. The new site is expected to be a prototype and not a complete new version. A Prototype consists of maximum 3 pages - a front or homepage, a section homepage, and a normal page. Smaller sites may not have differentiated sections, requiring only two pages in the prototype.
Individual Assignment 3: Develop Your Static
Prototype into a Dynamic web application
