Choose an industry you find interesting. This could be related to your major, your intended career path, a job you currently hold, a hobby, or just a general interest you have.
Conduct research on current trends impacting the industry you have chosen. For example, your research could be related to economic, political, or environmental issues.
Write a paragraph informing the reader of the most relevant issues impacting the industry.
For example, you could research how current economic trends are impacting consumer purchases in the sports apparel industry. Paragraph 2
• Write a paragraph discussing the impact of poor writing skills on the modern workplace.
• Remember to use references and cite your sources.
For example, you could write about an instance such as how the Los Angeles Police Department (LADPD) cadets were required to take remedial English classes as part of their training because many LAPD police officers were finding that their field reports were so poorly written that they would not stand up in court.
