Write a one page (singled spaced) paper on the either Dorothy Day or Pope John XXIII. Select one of the characters and in one paragraph synthesize their indentity. Compress into 8-10 sentences what Martin had to say about them in his chapter which covers their noteworthy achievements. In other words, do a one paragraph biography in the opening section of this paper.
In a second paragraph attempt to elucidate what it was exactly that qualified them to be saints, in the mind of James Martin at least. In this paragraph, focus on their personality traits. Describe their inner qualities that made them moral all stars. In your third and final paragraph, explain why you believe they were able to be the moral giants that they were. What sustained them in ways that got them to be consistently virtuous and thus memorable? So, paragraph should focus on the basics of their biography. Paragraph number two on their internal or spiritual qualities. And, paragraph number three pertains to your estimation of what nourished them to become moral paragons.
