Write a formal analysis of a painting that you saw on our class trip. A formal analysis focuses on the way that visual elements have been arranged and function within a composition. Visual elements include color, shapes, perspective, subject matter, line, brush strokes and the use of light and dark. By analyzing the elements of the painting and its structure, you should come to an overall interpretation of the meaning of the painting and how it is constructed. Think about the choices the artist has made and why.
The response must include a reference list. Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
