Essay Content Requirements
Write a descriptive essay. You may choose to describe a person, place, or object. If you are feeling particularly ambitious, you could try to describe something more abstract like Dillard does in her essay about adolescence.
The essay must:
- Include an underlined thesis statement that communicates your purpose for writing the description/the dominate impression. Failing to underline your thesis statement results in a "0" for this assignment.
- Include an introduction and a conclusion
- Be five paragraphs in length
- Include many sensory/concrete details to support the "dominate impression"
- Be formatted according to MLA guidelines.
