Assignment: Informative Essay
Using the same topic that you chose for Assignment 1, write a three to four (3-4) page paper in which you describe the problem, need, or process in question. This should be an objective, detailed overview of the issue you have chosen. Include two (2) outside sources using the Strayer Library and / or newspaper articles, school publications, work memos (get permission), and / or interviews.
This paper will include an introduction, several body paragraphs, and a conclusion.
Context
Option 1: Your local newspaper has asked you to describe the issue you are investigating. They want to feature the piece without bias for the town council; make sure that you are objective in your description. Include references to other sources for support.
Option 2: Your boss has asked you to write up a brief summary of the issue you are investigating. She wants your team to discuss this at the next meeting. Keep your discussion unbiased and objective so that the team can have a strong, open conversation about it.
Option 3: Your family has called a meeting to discuss this issue. You need to be ready with hard facts and data. Write a clear summary of the problem with research to support the topic at hand.
