Write a 500-word paper reflecting on Picasso's important role in modern art. Or you may choose to focus on Guernica alone for your paper. Think about the important questions that Guernicarises about the roll of art in our society. Such as:
Why is it black and white?
Would the mood of the painting change if it was done in color?
What is it that gives the painting its visual power?
Does the size of the painting affect the viewer's interaction with the painting?
What do the text-like markings mean?
What does the symbol at the top near the center represent?
What do the hare angler lines implied? If Picasso used rounded or curved lines would it change the feeling of the painting?
