There are many ways where the money of lottery can be used in a constructive way. Such as helping the poor and needy people, develop nonprofit organizations that will help people, open a hospital or a school and invest in business so that the profits from it can be used for helping the mankind. Some people use it is a destructive way like they spend money in gambling. Overspending of money without any purpose could result in bankruptcy. The Atlantic, Forbes and Fortune are the three sites that are used in this study to narrate the effects of lottery through articles that are published at these sites.

Lam, Bourree."What Becomes of Lottery Winners?" The Atlantic, 12 Jan. 2016,

https://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2016/01/lottery-winners-research/423543/

In the article that is published in the Atlantic, some of the important points that are related to the lottery winner are revealed. In the article, the comparison of myths and reality had taken place. In which under the light of different research it has proved that life of lottery winner is different from what we think. Lottery winner continues to live the same life as they are living before the lottery winning. The things that change in their life is their house, cars, and places of vacation. Most of them continued with the same job as they were doing before this happens. Another important point that needs to be highlighted is that people who are bankrupt are also the lottery winners because of the amount of loans they take from the bank which they are not able to pay back. Hence from this article, it seems that some people are not investing the winning amount instead they are wasting it. (LAM, 2016)

In this article, only the negative side of the lottery holders are shown. It depicts how they waste the money. The negative points are highlighted from those people who did not manage the money well and spend it on expensive, unnecessary items. Therefore, this article fails to meet some of the points that need to be highlighted such as when people won the money what they prefer to do first and how they improve their lives using this money. All these points are missing and only the destructive side of winning the lottery is demonstrated. This article is used in the paper to show the statistics that is gathered from different researches to show how lottery winners become bankrupted in two to five years after lottery winning. It is article is necessary to add because it shows the destructive side of lottery due to the mismanagement of money.

Adams, Susan. "Why Winning Powerball Won't Make You Happy." Forbes, 28 Nov. 2012,

https://www.forbes.com/sites/susanadams/2012/11/28/why-winning-powerball-wont-make-you-happy/#234aa1cb593a

In the article, the level of happiness is measured from those who won the lottery as compared to those people who did not win. It is the nature of human being that when they won they are the happiest person at that time but later their happiness decrease gradually. There are many positive and negative things that are associated with lottery winning. Most of the lottery winner spend the amount of money won in the next three to five years. The ratio of people who use the money throughout their live are relatively lower. Hence, from the survey that is conducted on lottery winners, it reveals that after two months the feeling of a lottery winner is same as non-winner because he is then grasped on a net of money shortage because he spends too much on things to upgrade his lifestyle and then maintaining this lifestyle becomes difficult for them. Therefore, they suffer at the end (Susan Adams, 2012).

In this article, the happiness level of people has been evaluated. It is the perception of the people that those who won such a huge amount are happiest people. But the research that was presented in this article proved wrong because at the end these people suffer because they have not ample amount of money throughout their life that they will use to maintain this newly adopted lifestyle. It is pertinent to include this article on this paper that will show the behavior of people when they won and after few years. It will demonstrate the people that how these people become weak emotionally and physiologically because they cannot carry forward this lifestyle without money.

Goldsmith, Johnny."Meet 20 jackpot winners from two decades of National Lottery: What are they doing now?" The Mirror, 16 Nov. 2014,

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/real-life-stories/national-lottery-winners-what-doing-4637926.

In this article, the jackpot winners from last two decades are compared in which the author highlights their activities of what they did with the money that they won and how they are living their life currently. There is a less number of people who are using their money wisely for constructive purpose as they invested their money in business operations and establish them so that they can get benefit out of it. Information of those persons are mentioned along with their details of how they are managing the money till now. For example, Mark Brudenell won a lottery in 1997, he used this money to set up his business that is expanded to yield profits regularly for him. Another example, Roy Gibney who won lottery and invest the money of lottery in a metal company with a partnership. In this way, he is generating money from the winning dollars. From these two examples, it evaluated that those who invest money in business managedto keep their lavish lives without any compromise. (Goldsmith, 2016)

From the above mentioned article, many important points came into consideration that those people who earn from these lotteries and make a significant investment from it made good achievements. They set good life not only for themselves but for their next generations as well. The only point where this article lacks is that it does not provide enough detail. Detailed analysis of the lottery winners is not given but instead, only a short review is provided. It must be in detail so that reader came to know how they managed the money. It is significant to add this article in this research paper so that reader came to understand how lottery money can be used to take benefit from it by investing it in a good business.

From these articles, it is concluded that lottery money can be used for a destructive purpose that will ruin the life of a man or it can be utilized for constructive purposes as well. It depends on the man of how he utilizes this fortune. Winning a lottery is a life-changing event it depends on a person of how he can benefit from it and change his life forever.
